Notes on the work
Operating principles
I lead the kind of work that doesn't make headlines — the AI infrastructure, governance, and developer tooling that quietly turn model capabilities into safe, repeatable healthcare outcomes.
As Principal AI System Engineer & GenAI Team Leadat Mayo Clinic Platform, I direct a team of senior engineers, researchers, and analysts executing the platform's generative AI strategy — from LLM orchestration and Vertex AI infrastructure to the IDE plugins and CLI tooling our internal developers rely on.
Before that, I served as Associate Cloud Architect within Mayo's Enterprise Cloud Center of Excellence, defining GCP reference patterns and pioneering the Vertex AI platforms that powered Mayo's transition to cloud-native ML. I'm also Co-Founder & Strategic Advisor at Novashock, where we ship pragmatic SaaS on AWS and GCP.
My orientation: simple systems compound, HIPAA is a design constraint not an afterthought, and the best AI roadmaps are the ones a clinician, a CIO, and an intern can each see themselves in.
